At this time Elm Crest Health Center has one resident that is positive for COVID-19. This resident will remain in quarantine for 10 days. In assisted living there are three residents who have tested positive and remain in isolation for a minimum of 10 days.
In Iowa and Nebraska, there is an increase in the number of COVID positive cases. As a result, we will continue to follow CDC guidelines and protocols for wearing the proper PPE and perform enhanced cleaning procedures.
Even with the increase in cases, we are pleased to say that a number of residents are out of quarantine and able to move around the community on a limited basis. These residents have meals in the dining room where there are two shifts to ensure we practice social distancing and reduce potential exposure.
Staying in Touch
At the present time, visitation remains suspended. However family and friends are still able to do window visits and use social media such as Zoom, Facebook, video chat and Skype to stay connected to loved ones. If you have questions about how to use these contact methods please call the community at 712-755-5174 and a staff member will be happy to help you. When you call, please ask for Activities/Social Services.
We will update our website with new information as needed. For specific COVID related information and updates, we will be contacting residents and their representative directly. If you have any questions about the ongoing COVID protocols, please feel to contact the community and we will be happy to answer your questions.
Thank you for your thoughts, prayers and supporting Elm Crest.
