A sentence: I am so grateful for the good care extended to Mother, and the hospitality available to members of our family.

It has become a home where her interests and abilities can continue to flower even in these years of diminishment. As an example: “Hat Day” became an occasion for her to use her life-long ability of “thinking outside the box.”  When she had no luck designing a “tissue and bobby pin” hat, she found a little plaid empty box in her drawer and fashioned on half of it to her hair with the bobby pin. She wore it all day to the amusement/delight of all who saw it. Activity directors provide numerous opportunities to stimulate her mind, making quality of life possible.
